Summary
HR3669 would allow states to determine whether they include gender/sex on IDs. If a state requires gender/sex to be listed then they would not be allowed to require any additional information to establish gender other than a statement by the person applying for the ID. States would also be required to allow for a gender neutral/inclusive option on IDs.

HR3669 was introduced in the House on June 2, 2025, and assigned to the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee the same day.
