Siobhan Boyd-Nelson

Interim Board Chair

Siobhan Boyd-Nelson (she/her/hers) A native of Columbus, OH, Siobhan received her B.A. in Legal Communication from Howard University in 2002. She returned home and earned her J.D. from The Ohio State University Moritz College of Law in 2005. Her involvement in Columbus’ LGBTQ+ community began shortly thereafter and has included leadership positions on the boards of LinkOUT, Scarlet & Gay (the OSU GLBT Alumni Society), the Legacy Fund of the Columbus Foundation, and numerous other community boards. In addition to LOVEboldly, Siobhan currently serves as the president of the board of Black, OUT & Proud.


Siobhan's professional career began in law, where she practiced in the domestic, probate, and appellate fields before entering the nonprofit sector in 2012. Over twelve years, she held a variety of marketing, development and leadership positions at organizations such as Kaleidoscope Youth Center, Stonewall Columbus, and Equality Ohio.

 

Siobhan identifies as a Black, Queer Lesbian of Christian faith. She shares her life with spouse

Shay (they/them), son Mars (Howard University c/o ’25), two dogs, and a very grumpy cat.
