Devoted Webinar #6 in a series of 6: Addresses the major fears that prevent Christians from loving LGBTQ+ people well
About this Event
We as Christians often encounter a number of fears in conversations regarding faith, sexuality, and gender identity - fears which prevent us from loving and ministering to LGBTQ+ people well. Aaron Munson will address these common fears and help us walk through them in a way that frees us up to love with the grace and boldness of Christ, regardless of our theology. Topics covered include:
Fear of “Condoning Sin”
Fear of “The Theology Question”
Fear of Religious Backlash
Our time together will include a safe space for attendees to ask questions and discuss how to work past the fears that prevent us from ministering well.
Aaron Munson is a licensed school counselor with Indianapolis Public Schools. He is also a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) who provides virtual counseling for people who are struggling to reconcile their faith and their sexuality. Aaron also leads a parent group for parents of LGBTQ+ kids to support them on their faith journey as they seek to love their kids well. Aaron is married to his favorite human, Liz, and they have two incredible and curious children. Aaron and Liz are both passionate about helping the church love those in the LGBTQ+ community, and making churches safe places for queer people.
