The Problem
There is currently a full assault against anything called diversity, equity, and inclusion. Often the people speaking simply say "DEI" without acknowledging the concepts in question and sometimes not evening knowing. There's a specter, an enemy called "DEI" and they need to oppose it at all costs. Acroynms are always easier to argue against and "DEI"is no exception.

Below you'll find call scripts and email and letter templates you can use to contact your leaders (elected, appointed, and community leaders). Encourage them to say "diversity, equity, and inclusion" instead of "DEI." Tell them it's vitally important that we recognize that this fight is bigger than one group or identity and impacts all of us, regardless of who we are.
