Summary

Despite it's title, HB172 would prohibit mental health care for minors without parental consent (even in cases of abuse or neglect).

Status

HB172 was introduced on March 12, 2025, and was assigned to the House Health Committee on March 19, 2025. It had its first hearing (sponsor testimony) on May 21, 2025. The bill had a second hearing (proponent testimony) on October 22, 2025. The bill had a third hearing (opponent testimony) on November 19, 2025.
