LOVEboldly uses the term "affirming" to refer to churches that meet the following criteria: a) will allow same-gender partners to marry in their building/on their property; b) will ordain and/or hire clergy who are LGBTQIA+; and c) will allow LGBTQIA+ people to serve in all ministries including on the church's governing body.
