With generous support from Christ Church Cathedral (Cincinnati, OH), LOVEboldly will welcome our inagural cohort of fellows in 2024.

What is the LOVEboldly Fellows Program?

The LOVEboldly Fellows Program is a nine-month, cohort learning experience for ten (10) ministry leaders including pastors, ministry professionals, and those preparing for calls in ministry, particularly people serving in or called to serve in congregational ministries.

Who is LOVEboldly looking for in its inaugural group of fellows?

The LOVEboldly Fellows Program is designed to facilitate learning and growth among ministry leaders who identify as heterosexual and cis-gender (in other words not LGBTQIA+) who consider themselves LGBTQIA+ affirming or who are actively seeking to develop their affirmation for the LGBTQIA+ community.

One of LOVEboldly's strategic and missional priorities is working in and with Ohio. Therefore, preference will be given to ministry leaders living, working, and/or studying in Ohio at the start of the fellowship.

Who will be leading the Fellows Program?

The LOVEboldly Fellows Program will be coordinated and led by Dr. Ben Huelskamp. An experienced leader in nonprofit and higher education spaces, Ben (he/they) is the Executive Director of LOVEboldly and a seminarian at the Methodist Theological School in Ohio (MTSO) where he is pursuing the MDiv.

You can learn more about Ben here and on his website.

What's the time commitment for fellows?

A tentative schedule is available below. Each month will consist of approximately three, one-hour sessions:

  • A small group call (via Zoom) with all the fellows and Ben.

  • An exclusive, educational session in a webinar-format via Zoom.

  • A one-to-one coaching session with Ben (either in-person or via Zoom).

On Saturday, March 9, 2024, from 9am to 12pm, the fellows will have a cohort launch session either via Zoom.

The cohort experience will include with one-day, in-person experiences during June and November. Fellows are strongly encouraged to attend in person, but LOVEboldly will accomodate fellows who cannot attend in person as needed.

Each fellow will be asked to create a capstone reflection which will be shared as part of LOVEboldly's Wednesday Wisdom & Writing series. Fellows who complete the full program will have the opportunity to serve as Senior Fellows and help mentor the next cohort of fellows.

Because this is the first year of the LOVEboldly Fellows Program, the inaugural fellows will have the opportunity to help steer and define learning experiences throughout the program.

What does the fellows program cost?

The total cost of the cohort learning experience is approximately $1,500 per fellow. However, because of a generous grant from Christ Church Cathedral, we are able to offer the LOVEboldly Fellowship Program for just a $100 deposit per fellow.*

*This does not include travel costs to and from the any in-person gatherings or any other incidental costs incurred by individual fellows.
